Is 23 an Enigma or is the answer 42?

The "23 enigma" refers to the belief that most incidents and events are directly connected to the number 23, some modification of 23, or rather vaguely a number related to 23.

The Principia Discordia has the "Law of fives" and states "All things happen in fives or are divisible by or are multiples of five, or somehow diretly or indirectly appropiate to five"

...and of course as all Hitch Hickers Guide to the Galaxy fans know, the answer to the Ultimate Question of life, The Universe and Everything is 42!

The gambler's fallacy

The Gambler's fallacy is the mistaken notion that the odds for something with a fixed probability increases or decreases depending on previous occurances.

what is the probablity of tossing another head if 3 heads have already been tossed in a row? Ignoring landing on the edge etc the chances of head or tails is 50%, this figure does not change no matter what previous outcomes have been flipped!
